Train with us - solicitor training contracts for 2017 and 2018

What we offer

Our two-year training contract comprises either three or four seats, including one contentious seat and one property seat. Usually the seats are from among the following areas: corporate transactions, commercial property, commercial dispute resolution, employment law, residential property, wills and probate, family law and personal injury.

Each year we recruit two trainees. Currently, we have vacancies for one trainee to start in 2017 and one in 2018.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of 300 points in academic A-level subjects and a 2:1 degree (or higher). We will also consider applicants with a 2:2 degree from a Russell Group university. Candidates must have completed their academic studies before starting their training contract with Gaby Hardwicke.

We do not require applicants to have completed the LPC; successful applicants who have not finished the LPC will be offered a long-term loan to help with the cost.

Gaby Hardwicke employs around 170 people across our four sites in Bexhill, Hastings and Eastbourne, many of whom are supported by us in attaining legal qualifications. 

We take the long-term view that our trainee solicitors of today could well be the firm’s future partners. We are looking for applicants who demonstrate a strong desire and capacity to contribute to the firm’s ongoing success.
