Our history - office chronology
1889 Dr Frederick Goodwin opens the firm at Memorial Buildings, Hastings.
1902 Ralph Gaby is still in practice at Memorial Buildings, Hastings.
1906 Ralph Gaby is in practice at 17 St Leonards Road, Bexhill.
1907 Ralph Gaby is in practice with Mr Stapylton-Smith at 8 Cambridge Road, Hastings.
1921-1933 The firm’s Bexhill office is 3a Sea Road.
1925 Gaby Hardwicke’s Hastings address is 1 Cambridge Road.
1934 The Bexhill office moves from 3a to 9 Sea Road.
1935 The firm’s Hastings office is now 2 Cambridge Road.
1936 We move our Bexhill office to 2 Eversley Road.
1940 A makeshift Hastings office is set up at employee H. E. Thomas’s home, at 190 Sedlescombe Road North, due to bomb damage at 2 Cambridge Road.
1960 As the firm expands, Gaby Hardwicke’s HQ address becomes 2-4 Eversley Road.
1978 Our Cooden office opens at 56 Cooden Sea Road.
1985 The firm opens its Eastbourne HQ at 27/29 Gildredge Road.
1999 Our Hastings office opens at 34 Wellington Square as we merge with Eaton Sagar.
2004 The firm’s Commercial department moves to 33 The Avenue, Eastbourne, which is officially opened by Nigel Waterson MP.
2006 Our Gildredge Road office closes as our office at The Avenue expands and becomes our HQ. The firm’s Eastbourne Residential Property, Private Client and Family Law teams move to The Avenue.
