Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors are the sponsors of the Lord’s Taverners annual spring lunch which takes place annually in Eastbourne. The firm has sponsored the event each year since 2004, raising more than £100,000 during this time.
More than 25 Sussex companies support the event which is attended by 270 local business men and women. Roger Daltrey, founder and lead singer of The Who has attended the lunch on several occasions as a guest of Gaby Hardwicke. David Getty, Head of Commercial Law Services said: “we are delighted to support such a deserving charity, and we are immensely grateful to Roger for his support”.
Guests in recent years have included Gareth Chilcott, Jimmy Hill, Richard Stilgoe, Graham Poll, Sussex Cricket legend Alan Wells and John Taylor, Rugby Commentator and former British Lion.
The Lord’s Taverners raises money to give young people 'a sporting chance' helping children with special needs to take part in sporting activities and providing cricket and other sporting facilities in schools and clubs. It is accredited by the England and Wales Cricket Board as the official national charity for recreational cricket.
